Account Deletion

We're sorry to see you go. If you've decided to delete your Boroko account, we want to make the process as clear and transparent as possible.
How to Delete Your Account
You can request account deletion directly within the Boroko mobile application:
- Open the Boroko app and ensure you are logged in.
- Go to your Profile tab.
- Tap on Settings (the gear icon).
- Select Delete Account.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your request.
The 30-Day Grace Period: When you request deletion, your account is not removed immediately. It enters a 30-day window where your data is hidden from the community. You can cancel this request at any time by simply logging back into the app.
What Happens to Your Data?
- Personal Data: After the 30-day grace period, your name, email, and phone number are permanently removed from our active databases.
- Property Listings: If you are a landlord, your active listings will be removed from search results immediately. They will be permanently deleted after 30 days.
- Interests & Interactions: Any interest you've expressed in properties will be anonymized to protect your privacy while maintaining platform integrity.
